Job Description

Gpac is seeking an Ammonia Refrigeration Operator for an food and beverage manufacturing company we are working with. This role is 100% on-site and would prefer someone within the Knoxville, Tennessee area.

The company is expanding , and they are looking for experienced operators to add to their proven successful team, PLUS they are offering a full benefits package that is available on day one, with monthly bonuses.

Some responsibilities are:

* Preventative maintenance
* Troubleshooting and repair of ammonia refrigeration systems and equipment
* Perform start-ups and shutdowns
* Write daily records on log sheets
* Monitor and maintain oil levels on ammonia compressors
* Perform daily operational duties on fire-tube boilers and industrial air compressors
* Calibration of equipment and instrumentation
* Maintain water quality systems on colling towers
* Familiarity with forklifts, scissor lifts, and JLG lift is REQUIRED
* Must be able to read and understand Process and Instrumentation Diagram (P&IDs)

Physical demands:

* Able to lift up to 50 pounds frequently
* Exposure to extreme temperatures (both hot and cold)
* Exposure to loud noise and heights

Requirements:

* At least a High school diploma
* 2-3 years of maintenance experience
* 1-2 years of experience in industrial refrigeration
* Completed or able to complete RETA operator 1 course (or CARO certification)

This role has a shift availability of both 2nd and 3rd shift.
