Bookkeeper (CPA Firm)
Doral, Florida
$45,000 - $55,000
My client is seeking an experienced Accountant/Bookkeeper to manage and maintain client financial records, including monthly bookkeeping, payroll processing, and sales tax management. This role involves working closely with their accounting team to produce monthly financial reports and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations. The primary responsibility is to accurately record all daily financial transactions for client accounts while adhering to IRS tax laws. My client is looking for a candidate with leadership potential who can eventually oversee a team of bookkeepers and collaborate with senior accountants to ensure year-round tax compliance.
Responsibilities:
Manage multiple client accounts.
Record daily financial transactions and complete the posting process.
Bring books to the trial balance stage.
Perform partial checks of the posting process.
Enter data, maintain financial records, and prepare financial statements.
Reconcile accounts on a monthly basis.
Manage payroll and balance payroll accounts.
Make federal and state tax deposits, and complete annual tax forms (Forms 941, RT-6, 1099, 1096, W-2, W-3, and Sales Tax Reports).
Analyse and calculate sales tax.
Translate financial statements into tax returns for IRS reporting.
Skills:
Strong communication skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Proven bookkeeping experience.
Solid understanding of basic accounting principles, including accounts payable/receivable.
Proficiency in calculating, posting, and managing financial records.
Strong data entry skills with an aptitude for numbers.
Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and accounting software.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
Bilingual candidates (English/Spanish) preferred.
Excellent customer service and negotiation skills.
High level of accuracy, analytical skills, and attention to detail.
Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
Availability during tax season with flexibility to work half-days on Saturdays from February 1st to April 15th.
Proficiency in QuickBooks.
CRM experience preferred.
Knowledge of tax reporting and external bookkeeping preferred.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
