Job Description

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Spanish teacher to join our team of dedicated educators. In this role you will develop and implement individualized education and behavioral programs for students with emotional and behavioral needs. You will also prepare quarterly report cards maintain good communication with parents and guardians and select appropriate instructional materials and strategies. This is a parttime contract position offering 20 hours per week.



What you will be doing:

• Develop and implement individualized education and behavioral programs for students
• Prepare quarterly report cards and midquarter reports
• Maintain good communication with parents/guardians relevant staff and professionals outside of the school
• Evaluate students current levels of academic and behavioral functioning
• Select appropriate instructional materials and strategies
• Organize classroom furniture and equipment
• Actively supervise students throughout the day
• Implement individual and group behavior management programs

• Bachelors degree in Spanish or a related field
• Minimum qualification for a Provisional Certificate in special education at the appropriate level
• Experience working in Special Education highly preferred
• Experience working with students with emotional and behavioral needs
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
