Job Description

Responsibilities
- Perform effective patient management using strong telephone communication skills
- Evaluate and understand patients’ needs and requirements
- Initiate compliance monitoring phone calls to patients and manage refills
- Process medication orders in a timely manner
- Follow up with patients in accordance to need by date indicated on Rx.
- Verify insurance coverage for all patients
- Provide price quotes
- Arrange for delivery and process payment information
- Understand all program codes and discount programs available to our patients
- Scan all prescriptions for proper record keeping
- Follow up with patients and prescribers daily using telephone, email, or text messaging to provide patient status updates, or to verify information on pending or filled medication orders
- Deliver superior customer service and work professionally with pharmacists, medical providers, consultants, and other staff in pharmacy environment
- Other tasks as needed to ensure accuracy and a positive patient experience
Requirements
- CPhT License preferred but not required
- Strong customer service skills required
- Outstanding telephone and communication skills required
- Solid computer skills and ability to learn new systems
- Prior experience working in a specialty pharmacy or a call center setting preferred
- Must be able to work full time with availability during normal business hours (9:00 am to 5:30 pm Monday - Friday, 9:30 am - 1:30 pm Saturdays as needed)
- Bilingual in English/Spanish or English/Chinese (a plus but NOT required)
