Position: Senior Accountant

Overview:
Kreative Technologies is in search for a Senior Accountant who will work closely with our Accounting team to support the operational accounting needs of the firm. Reporting to the Controller, the ideal candidate will be able to research and learn new tasks with minimum guidance. Additionally, the incumbent will be able to demonstrate a high attention to detail and is able to consistently meet deadlines.
Responsibilities:
• Managing Balance Sheet reconciliations and supporting month-end/year-end close activities.
• Conducting detailed account reconciliations, journal entries and maintaining GL integrity.
• Preparing monthly financial statements and implementing controls to align with GAAP.
• Handling contract entry/reporting, and processing modifications with a firm grasp of billing and revenue implications.
• Prepare detailed reconciliation and support schedules for month-end close and annual audit.• Maintain and update fixed asset and prepaid expense schedules.
• Billing and controlling the invoicing process to ensure timely and accurate invoicing. Ensure invoices are compliant with appropriate contracts, guidelines, and regulations.
• Reconcile billings, revenue, and unbilled amounts on a monthly basis.
• Remit invoices to customers based on submission instructions (WAWF, IPP, other website, email, etc).
• Perform monthly Unbilled reconciliations of billed vs. revenue activity. Research and resolve unexplained reconciling items. Notify the Manager of significant, reconciling items that remain unresolved for extended periods.
• Assist with special projects to facilitate the effective and rapid functioning of the Accounting Department.
• Utilizing Excel for complex calculations.
• Ensuring confidentiality of financial information.
Education/Skills/ Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelors in Accounting or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience
• Must be highly detail-oriented and organized
• Must possess proactive, strong communication skills and problem-solving ability.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Consistently displays professionalism and a positive work ethic.
• Experience with Government contracts and Unanet highly desired
• Comprehensive knowledge of GAAP, and extensive knowledge of FAR highly desired
• CPA license highly desired
