Position: Senior Project Manager, Mining and Industrial Team
We are looking for an experienced Senior Project Manager to join our Engineering Department in Tucson. The Mining and Industrial (M&I) team focuses on various fluid conveyance and processing systems. In this role, you will play a vital part in developing and mentoring newer engineers and technical professionals. You will also have the opportunity to expand our market share by nurturing relationships with current and prospective clients.
What You Will Be Doing:
Managing and mentoring Professional Engineers (PEs), Project Managers (PMs), Engineers in Training (EITs), design drafters, and other technical staff.
Creating and developing written proposals.
Developing and managing engineering design projects, including dewatering, reclaimed water systems, process solutions, slurry systems, well fields, stormwater controls, water treatment, and source water acquisition projects.
Coordinating deliverables from subcontractors, vendors, and partner consultants.
Facilitating communication and information delivery between our team, subcontractors, vendors, and clients.
Building strong relationships with current and future clients and vendors.
What Qualifications Are Required for This Role?
A bachelor's degree in a related engineering discipline or field. Additional years of experience may substitute for education.
Preference for candidates registered (or eligible to register) as a Professional Engineer (PE) in the State of Arizona.
A minimum of eight (8) years of experience with mining systems, including water, mining solutions, and slurry systems.
At least five (5) years of experience as a project manager in an engineering environment.
Experience in developing written proposals and selling engineering consulting services.
Proven experience managing multi-person teams of varying experience levels; project-related experience is applicable.
Preference for candidates with experience managing departmental teams and overseeing operational performance.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Project, Outlook).
Salary and Benefits:
The salary range for this position is $131,000 - $151,000 per year, plus discretionary bonuses.
