Senior Staff Accountant

Position Overview
The Senior Staff Accountant will play a crucial role in managing the company's financial records, ensuring accurate reporting and compliance with regulations. This position requires a detail-oriented individual with expertise in accounting practices and a strong understanding of accounts receivable and sales tax processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department
• Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements and reports
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations regarding financial reporting and tax obligations
• Process accounts receivable and ensure timely collections
• Assist in the preparation of sales tax returns and compliance documentation
• Collaborate with other departments to streamline processes and improve financial reporting accuracy
• Participate in the annual budgeting process and financial forecasting
• Support month-end and year-end close processes, including reconciliations and journal entries

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• 4+ years of experience in accounting or finance roles
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
• Experience working in a manufacturing or distribution environment 
• Proficient in ERP systems and accounting software
• Experience with accounts receivable 
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting
• Nice to have: Experience with sales tax processes
