Vending Utility Worker Location Ripley, OH : Position Summary To serve our internal and external customers by ensuring the safe, reliable and timely evaluation, preparation, logistics and effective repair and maintenance of marketing equipment (e.g. coolers, vending machines), in addition to ensuring cleanliness of the warehouse and facility grounds (e.g. full goods, raw materials, trash and recycled items) are loaded, unloaded and stored accurately and safely per established company standards. Essential Functions
- Troubleshoots, inspects, services and repairs all equipment (e.g. fountain units, coolers, vending machines) at CMED per established standards (e.g. manufacturer specifications, Pepsi standards).
- Assists in the organization of the sales equipment warehouse; loads and unloads delivery trucks; stacks equipment safely and neatly; maintains a clean, neat and organized workspace and/or vehicle.
- Maintains cleanliness and assists in the organization of the warehouse (e.g. cuts away shrink wrap from pallets, gathers damaged materials, cleans up spills, picks up and empties trash, cleans floor).
- Maintains facility grounds to ensure appearance and safety (e.g. plows snow from parking lots, internal facility roadways, sidewalks, mows grass; empties trash and recycling receptacles).
- Assists in recycling efforts: operates crusher to recycle out of date cans and bottles; loads and organizes recycling truck (e.g. paper products, cardboard, shrink-wrap, chipped bands).
- Unloads incoming goods (e.g. shells) from delivery trucks and trailers according to established standards (e.g. goods being unloaded and stored safely).
- Adheres to all company policies, standards and procedures (e.g. OSHA and safety requirements, AIB and Pepsi standards, Federal/State/Local Laws); wears all required personal protective equipment.
- Communicates with co-workers, supervisor and management team verbally regarding the status of work activities; supervisor regarding questions or issues with daily assignment.
- Completes equipment safety checklists, load sheets, time off requests, and other required paperwork per established standards.
- Works assigned schedule, exhibits regular and predictable attendance and works overtime as needed to meet workload demands. Performs other related duties as required.
- Verifies incoming and outgoing deliveries according to established standards (e.g. bill of lading present, trailer secured).
- Transports recycling to recycling center
Education Level High School degree, GED or equivalent; trade school diploma in electrical, HVAC, mechanics or related field desirable. Experience 1-3 years of previous mechanical and/or equipment troubleshooting experience. 6-12 month's forklift experience in a warehouse experience. Certificates & Licenses Valid Driver's license; employee must be insurable to operate a vehicle, as a condition of initial and continued employment. Additional Requirements Knowledge of: beverage industry; product line; retail sales environment; various equipment (e.g. vending machines, coolers, fountain units); basic mechanics and troubleshooting, including electric and refrigeration. Skill in: internal and external customer service in a variety of settings; basic mechanical and troubleshooting skills. Ability to: work quickly, efficiently and independently without direct supervision; adapt to change; display a professional, positive attitude; read (e.g. diagrams, maps, schematics) and write; perform basic math functions (e.g. addition, subtraction); communicate effectively with customers and other employees and develop good working relationships; be trained on operating hand tools, refrigeration equipment and other mechanical equipment; drive a vehicle; multi-task; problem solve.
